Schooled in Glasgow, Studied architecture in Aberdeen at the Scott Sutherland School. BSc(hons) architecture, Diploma in Architecture 1973 - 1980
Year out and professional practice, project architect for further 2 years – GRM Kennedy and partners, Aberdeen. Saltire Award, with others, for housing scheme in Corpach, Fort William.
Project architect at Fletcher Ross and Hickling for 3 years, Festival of Architecture Award for Postal Sorting and Distribution Office, Garforth
Joined Michael Wildblood at Wildblood Macdonald Wetherby in 1985, offered partnership in 1990, retired with Michael Wildblood from WM practice in 2012.
Continued to act as consultants together working with the new directors for a 4 year hand over of business under a new company which Michael and I set up together, Hamcol Ltd.,
Established Philip Wright architecture + design in Easter 2016 working with Hamcol and Michael Wildblood on projects that need our individual and respective skills.
